Cipta Briquettes Sdn Bhd
Cipta Briquettes Sdn. Bhd., the flagship of Cipta Group, is a leading biomass briquette producer.
It exports sawdust and Napier Briquettes © Charcoal to Europe, North America, and Japan for cooking, industrial energy, and sustainable fuel. The company also manages a Napier Grass plantation in Kuala Tatau, Bintulu, Sarawak.
Cipta Reforestation Sdn Bhd
Cipta Reforestation Sdn. Bhd. manages a 3,000-hectare Eucalyptus plantation in Ulu Baligian, Sarawak, dedicated to sustainable cultivation. With a goal of 5 million trees, the company ensures a long-term, renewable raw material supply.
It also operates a sawmill, processing timber from its plantation for domestic and Middle Eastern markets while supporting sustainable forestry practices.
CBS Products Sdn Bhd
CBS Products Sdn. Bhd. was established in 2008 to expand the Group’s manufacturing capacity.
Operating a Biomass Sawdust Briquettes Charcoal Factory in Tawau, Sabah, this facility ensures a consistent and efficient supply of briquette charcoal, supporting both local and international demand. Together with the Bintulu facility, CBS Products plays a critical role in the Group’s downstream operations.

Our Founder
Dato Hii Poh Bing – Visionary Leader in Biomass Energy
Dato Hii Poh Bing, founder of Cipta Group, is a pioneer in sustainable energy. With a background in steam and thermal engineering, he started in the timber and boiler industries, later co-founding Industrial Power Technology in Singapore.
In 1997, he launched Cipta Briquettes Sdn. Bhd., transforming wood waste into biomass briquettes and making it a leading global exporter. Expanding further, he spearheaded large-scale eucalyptus and Napier grass plantations in 2020, introducing the world’s first Napier Briquettes © Charcoal.
Recognised for his contributions, he was awarded the PSBS honor in 2015. As Chairman and Managing Director, he continues to drive innovation, sustainability, and global excellence in the biomass industry.
